Following a hair transplant, it is not recommended to play any sports or participate in any strenuous physical activity for a month.  Two weeks after a hair transplant operation, one can work out at a gym so long as the exercise does not cause undue stress to the newly grafted hair follicles.

It is also very important to ensure that one does not participate in any physical activity, strenuous or not, that involves the hand or hands touching the head or the equipment touching the head.

For example, if you are a professional athlete or your career depends on your ability to be physically active, you can begin practicing your sport by yourself or with teammates after two weeks, but you must be extremely careful and ensure that no foreign objects or sporting equipment come into contact with your head.

Furthermore, elevated blood pressure can damage your hair graft.
Yoga, boxing, and other similar activities might adversely affect hair transplants.

You should avoid the use of tobacco products, such as cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes (electronic cigarettes), shisha, hookah (water pipe), etc. Smoking deprives the body of oxygen after a hair transplant operation.  Smoking will, therefore, reduce the effectiveness of the healing process after the medical procedure.  You should remember that nicotine causes excessive bleeding, so you should not smoke or consume any products containing nicotine.  Lastly, smoking exposes you to toxic chemicals that can harm your hair follicles or grafts.  We recommend that you greatly limit your smoking just before the operation if you cannot quit smoking before the operation.

Seven days or one week before the operation, drinking is prohibited.

After the operation, we don’t advise drinking for seven days or one week because you will need to take medications like antibiotics and pain relievers.  While taking antibiotics or medications, drinking alcohol can be harmful to your health.

Yes, but one must make sure that one does not sweat from the head when walking and that one’s blood level is not elevated when walking.

For a month after the hair transplant, refrain from swimming in any kind of water.

A helmet, cap, hat, or other headgear may be worn after two weeks.

It is advisable not to go to a barber shop directly after an operation since barber shops are sometimes not very hygienic.

Tell your barber that you recently had a hair transplant so that he or she is aware of the fact that you are getting your hair cut.

You should wait one month before cutting your hair.  Additionally, the barber must not use clippers, shaving machines, or razor blades in the transplanted area.  In the transplanted area, the barber must only use scissors for the first six months.  After that, the barber can use clippers, electric shaving machines, or razor blades.

It is generally not a good idea to shave or cut the hair very short after a hair transplant operation.  The reason is that it can interfere with the hair regrowth process.  There will be less hair in the donor area than there was before the operation.  Therefore, if you trim the hair in this area to less than one centimeter, it might be visible to others.

After the hair transplant operation, we advise that the hair not be shaved too close to the scalp, especially in the donor area.

Six months after the hair transplant, you can color your hair.  The reason is that the chemicals in hair colourants might negatively affect transplanted grafts.

Grafts are transferred from your donor area to your recipient area.  Once they have been removed, the extracted grafts do not grow back on the donor area as we extract the entire bulb or follicle from the donor area.

After the transplant, some hair may fall out in the transplanted area.  Do not worry if this happens.  Patients sometimes experience this.

In the transplanted area, hair regrowth usually begins between the third and fourth month (like small baby hair at first).  Over time, the hair in the transplanted area will become denser and denser.  It usually takes a person up to one year before they notice that the hair in the transplanted area has grown sufficiently.

It is important to eat a balanced diet (such as fruits / vegetables with some meat, etc.) in order to get as many minerals and vitamins, as well as protein, as needed by your body to properly grow hair.

We can advise you accordingly if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

It is usually possible to return to work two days after the operation if you work in an office.

As long as you’re professional activity (or work) does not require physical effort or wearing a helmet, you can return to work after two days.  Otherwise, you should take ten days off from work.

Working in hot, humid conditions, with high air pressure, with high blood pressure, in dusty areas, or in areas that are considered dirty or unhygienic, should be avoided for at least 10 days following the operation.

The transplanted area usually heals within 10 to 14 days.  There won’t be any red spots, dead skin, or scabs after 14 days.

After hair transplant, you should use a PH neutral shampoo or a shampoo without chemicals for 6 months.  If you wish, you can use organic shampoo.

After a hair transplant, dietary supplements can be used for treatment.

After consulting and doing a blood analysis, if your blood doesn’t contain enough minerals or vitamins, such as Biotine, Iron, Vitamin D, etc, the doctor will recommend dietary supplements to you if he thinks you need them.

Solarium and sun tanning bed sessions (which emit UV rays) should be avoided for six months after the hair transplant.

Hair topic or coloring powder should not be applied to the scalp after a hair transplant.

You may lose or damage your hair if you frequently use hair topic or coloring powder in your hair.

After the procedure, you can use hair topic or coloring powder for special occasions such as weddings one month after the procedure, but you must wash your hair before going to bed every night.

You should wash your hair once a day for the first two weeks following your operation.

You can walk after the transplant, yes.

During the operation, we wrap a band around the base or bottom of your head to prevent swelling from developing on your face.  After the procedure, swelling on the face is rare.  The swollenness will disappear after one week if it does occur.

For one week after the operation, you should avoid eating salty foods and drink at least one liter of water.

After the operation, itching is one of the side effects. Itching will be minimized if you wash your hair as we recommend. There are skin types that are more sensitive than others.  Occasionally, we may recommend using lotions or creams after the procedure. If you have a lot of itching after the operation, let us know.

Patients can use minoxidil (5%) spray or foam to increase hair density, especially on the crown, where blood circulation is weaker than on other areas of the scalp.  Minoxidil is highly recommended for clients who don’t want to lose their existing hair.  When you use Minoxidil long-term, the low density areas in the transplanted area will become denser over time.  It is important to rub Minoxidil into your scalp every day, making sure not to use your nails as you do so.

Finasteride is a hormone therapy used to promote hair growth.
After a hair transplant, finasteride pills or tablets may be used.  Consult your family doctor if you are a candidate for Finasteride as it may cause side effects.

We highly recommend that you continue to use Finasteride after the hair transplant if you have noticed positive results.

After a hair transplant, the bandage can be removed one or two days later.

It is possible to develop pimples after the operation and they are one of the possible side effects.

Up to two days after the hair transplant, it is not recommended to have any sex because sexual activity increases blood flow and blood pressure.  Blood pressure can push the grafts out.

You can have sex on the third (3rd) day up to the tenth (10th) day, but please ensure that your face is never face down during sexual activity.

Make sure your partner does not touch the transplanted area.
Make sure you do not push yourself too hard during sex or make minimal efforts to move.
You are free to do whatever you want after two (2) weeks.

Following the operation, the clinic provides medications (such as antibiotics and painkillers) that should be taken for a period of seven (7) to ten (10) days.
We may recommend supplements if you have a pre-existing medical condition or a specific diet.

After the operation, it is not recommended to cut the hair with a razor or shaving machine for six (6) months.

For a period of six months after the operation, gel, styling spray, oils, and hair care products with chemicals should not be used.
If you decide to use any of the above products in general, please wash your hair before going to bed.
